Tennis, Tennis, and More Tennis

Ella Kate went to Lifepoint Tennis Camp in Albertville this week. Her cousin Drew and Sadie, one of her best friends, went too. She had never even picked up a racket but she has had a blast learning how to play. Drew has been taking all summer so he is practically a pro! Every night they come off the court with huge smiles. Mr. Greg and Mr. Eric have been fantastic teachers. They are very positive and so much fun. Ella doesn't want the week to end. Thanks Aunt Amanda for encouraging Ella Kate to go this week!

This could be the beginning of something GREAT!!!!!!

Family, Food, Fun, and Photos

Yesterday I got the opportunity to take some family portraits of the James family. Amy and I have been talking about doing this for what seems like forever. We finally worked out an afternoon when everybody could be there and other than it being a little hot it was perfect. They had asked to do the portraits at Camp Sumatanga because they spent alot of time there when they were younger. I had never been there before but it is absolutely beautiful.
I think we got some great shots and we had a wonderful time. After we finished snapping pics we let the kids play on the playground and Amy's mom brought some scrumptious watermelon. The kids loved it and I have to admit.....I did to. They are a very sweet family and we had a great afternoon together. Thanks everybody for giving me the opportunity to do portraits of your family! I had a blast!

Mmmmmm! Yummy

Lemonade For Sale!

After Allie Grace's birthday party Cale set up a lemonade stand in Grandnonna and Granddaddy's front yard. It reminded me of when I was a kid and had lemonade stands in front of the drug store. Cale was sooooo excited. He has been asking to do this all summer. Of course his grandparents and cousins all showed up to buy the best lemonade in town. He told everyone that the price for a cup of lemonade was $1. Cookies and muffins were free for those who bought a refreshing cup of lemonade.
We all had a great time sitting under the big oak trees together. It's nice to have the opportunity to slow down and enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon.
The lemonade put smiles on alot of faces!
Thanks for sharing your lemonade with us Cale!

Flip Flop Fun

Today was Allie Grace's 4th birthday party! Allie Grace is the "flip flop queen" so the party theme was very appropriate. There were flip flops everywhere.....on the tables and in the air. This party was wet and wild to say the least. Aunt Anna had a water slide there and they all made the coolest flip flops to take home. All the little girls had a blast! Maybe next year we will let the boys come to the party! Happy Birthday Allie Grace!

Las Vegas

Wade and I went to Las Vegas for our 8th anniversary. It was wonderful! I love to travel but I don't get to do it as much as I would like. Wade, however, hates to travel and he REALLY hates to fly. I was SHOCKED when he surprised me with this trip. He even arranged for our parents to keep the girls. It was nice to have time to spend together and actually be able to carry on a conversation. We laughed alot! Check out the pictures. The fountains at the Bellagio were probably my favorite. I did get to window shop at Tiffany's while we were there which is something every girl dreams of. It was a great trip. Thanks Wade for loving me and for recognizing when Ineed to get away!!!!!!

The fog rolls out before the water show at the Bellagio begins. If you haven't ever experienced it....IT IS AWESOME!!!!!

The famous Siegfried and Roy tiger in The Secret Garden. Isn't he beautiful!!!

Another magnificent animal! This is one of the lions from The MGM where we stayed.
